She is currently studying the Sufi kalaam under Ustaad Abu Muhammad of the Fareed Ayaz Qawwal 'Delhi Bacchon ka Gharana' and Hindustani gaayaki under Pt. Sanjoy Bannerjee & V. Sharmistha Chatterjee. Her musical expression draws inspiration from Abida Parveen, Begum Akhtar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Farida Khanum, Damien Rice, John Mayer and Lisa Hannigan.
